How it works
Rates come from the European Central Bank's daily reference rates via the open Frankfurter API and update once per business day. Card and ATM providers add a spread, so the tool also shows what a typical 2–3% markup would cost you. We include a cheat sheet you can screenshot before you land.
Questions about this tool
Are these the rates I'll get?
No. They are mid-market reference rates. Your bank or exchange desk adds a margin. The tool shows an estimate of that.
How often do rates update?
Once per business day, after the ECB publishes.
